Description
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) is offering the PSiRA Bursary for the 2025 academic year to support students employed in the private security sector or whose legal parent is registered with PSiRA as a security officer. This initiative falls under PSiRA's Corporate Social Investment (CSI) and aims to facilitate access to higher education and training within the security sector, encouraging applicants who are 19 to 35 years old, have completed matric, and wish to pursue undergraduate studies in any field at accredited institutions. The bursary covers tuition fees for up to R25,000 for TVET institutions and R45,000 for undergraduate programs. Prospective applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including citizenship and employment status, and are required to submit a completed application form along with pertinent documentation before the closing date of January 31, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be South African citizen
- Must be employed within the private security sector or have a parent registered with PSiRA as a security officer
- Ages between 19 and 35 years
- Must have completed Matric
- Intending to study full-time towards a certificate or undergraduate diploma or degree
- Enrolled in an accredited institution registered with the Department of Higher Education in South Africa
